How YourScroll Works

Set Up YourScroll (5 minutes)
After downloading YourScroll, you can choose the types of prompts you want to see, how much you want to write, how long your social media sessions should last, and during which hours of the day the app should activate.
You’ll also create a simple iOS Shortcut that briefly opens YourScroll whenever you try to open the apps you selected.
Once this is set up, everything runs automatically.
Begin Using Social Media Mindfully
When you open one of your chosen apps, YourScroll appears briefly and shows a prompt.
You’re then sent straight to the app and can scroll as normal while a session timer runs quietly in the background.
When the session ends, YourScroll sends a notification inviting you to return and write a short reflection based on a prompt.
Each reflection you save becomes part of your scroll, a growing collection of moments where you paused and used your brain instead of scrolling automatically.
Over time, this simple habit helps you become more aware of how you use social media and finally makes it possible to break the cycle of mindless scrolling.
